Household Manager / Family Assistant

Location: Laurel Springs, Forsyth County - near Johns Creek/Cumming area 

Employment Type: Full-Time | 30–40 hours per week (30 hours guaranteed)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, with flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends as needed

Compensation: $35–$40 per hour | Mileage reimbursement | Phone stipend | PTO and sick time

Start Date: ASAP

• Reliable personal transportation with a valid driver's license.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain
• Fragrance-free environment; candidates should be comfortable working within this standard
• Willingness to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement
• Passport preferred (or openness to obtaining one)

About Our Family

We're a busy, active household based north of Atlanta — a working couple and a bright, independent teenager, living in a home that moves at a real pace. Life here is full: travel, commitments, projects, and the everyday rhythm of a household that runs on good systems, thoughtful coordination, and a team that takes pride in what they do.

We have existing support in place — a wonderful housekeeper who comes weekly, external landscapers and a pool team, and a dedicated assistant who handles the professional and logistical side of our lives — but we're looking for someone to be the heartbeat of the home itself. The person who keeps things running smoothly on the ground, who notices what needs attention before being asked, and who brings warmth and professionalism to every interaction.

We also have a second property in South Carolina, which has its own property manager, so coordination across both properties is occasionally part of the picture. And we're expecting a new four-legged family member before the end of the year — a Boston Terrier who will need some love and care worked into the routine.

This is an active, dynamic household. We travel, we host, we do big projects and small ones. We're looking for someone who is energized by variety, grounded in follow-through, and genuinely takes satisfaction in a home that feels organized, welcoming, and well cared for.

The right person for this role is someone who leads with professionalism — not rigidity, but a clear sense of self and standards. You understand that working inside someone's home is a privilege that comes with responsibility. You're warm, kind, and easy to be around, but you also read the room. You know when to engage and when to move quietly and efficiently through your work. You never have to be reminded to be discreet — that's simply who you are.

You think like a project manager. When given a task, you don't just complete it — you think it through. You consider the second-order implications. You ask the clarifying question upfront so you can deliver the right result the first time. You're the kind of person who, when asked to pick up apples, asks "Honeycrisp or Gala?" — not because you're over-thinking it, but because you care about doing it right.

You are proactive in the truest sense. You walk into a room and notice what's off. You spot the battery that needs changing, the supply that's running low, the errand that will be needed before anyone mentions it. You take initiative without overstepping, and you communicate clearly without being chatty. You are productive in a fast-paced environment — not because you rush, but because you're methodical and self-aware. You don't make mistakes from haste; you ask for clarity when you need it.

You hold yourself to a high personal standard, independent of whether anyone is watching. No task is beneath you and no challenge is too large.

You're also just a genuinely good person. Kind, civil, polite, and hospitable in the way that can't be trained — it's simply part of how you move through the world. Spanish language skills are a meaningful bonus, but not a requirement.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative & Personal Assistant Support

• Coordinate personal and household appointments; provide inputs to the existing EA for calendar management
• Represent the family professionally through written and verbal communication
• Coordinate personal and family travel logistics; occasional support with hybrid work/personal trip coordination
• Collaborate seamlessly with other household staff and coordinate across schedules
• Occasional on-call support for international travel logistics (1–2 times per year); willingness to travel with the family is a plus
• HOA coordination: manage the neighborhood security app for guest and vendor access, submit requests as needed
• Occasional logistical support for public appearances (printing materials, prepping items, coordinating with outside contacts)

Vendor & Property Oversight

• Oversee cleaners, contractors, landscapers, and all household vendors
• Research and coordinate repairs and quotes; follow through on scheduling and completion
• Light seasonal property maintenance: tidying outdoor spaces, prepping for guests and events
• Manage all home systems on a hard-calendared schedule: HVAC, pool, fireplace, security, and general maintenance

Estate-Level Oversight

• Manage property upkeep systems and schedules; conduct routine walkthroughs to ensure the home is well-maintained
• Coordinate with the South Carolina property manager as needed; occasional assistance with sending furnishings or items to the secondary property
• House-sit as needed during family travel: collect packages, check security, manage utilities, and keep the home in order

Family Support

• Regular pickups and drop-offs for the family's teenager (school and after-school activities); frequency varies and is provided via a weekly schedule
• Light supervision as needed; the teenager is largely independent
• Occasional airport runs for family members and guests
• Kid-related errands as needed

Household Organization & Maintenance

• Create and continuously improve household organization systems
• Daily resets and light tidying of main living areas: dishes, surfaces, vacuuming high-traffic zones
• Seasonal swaps: clothing, decor, and bedding
• Coordinate donation drop-offs
• Event, holiday, and guest preparation
• Pack and unpack for travel; wardrobe management including cycling items in and out and merchandising closet space
• Ongoing gifting support: assembling and delivering gifts multiple times per week; sending written notes on behalf of the family
• Minor household tasks: replacing batteries, light bulbs, and smoke detectors; maintaining humidifiers and air purifiers
• Refresh and declutter high-traffic zones: garage, mudroom, and entryway

Inventory & Errands

• Restock pantry, fridge, and household supplies; maintain running supply lists
• Manage household subscriptions and recurring orders (Amazon, Costco, Target, etc.)
• Handle returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping, and general errands
• Mail and package handling; breaking down boxes
• Grocery shopping; occasional light kitchen assistance (e.g., simple prep when the family arrives home late)

Pet Care

• Feeding and walking the family dog as needed
• Schedule vet and grooming appointments
• Maintain pet supplies

Vehicle Upkeep

• Regular fueling and washing of the family vehicle
• Schedule routine maintenance and oil changes as needed
